Queen's final concert in France and best show on the tour was originally supposed to take place at the Stade de L'Ouest in Nice but for reasons I don't know, it was changed to the Amphithéâtre de Fréjus (about an hour away by car) at the last minute. Freddie didn't find out about this swap of venues until the very day of the show and wasn't happy about this, refusing to appear at soundcheck before the concert. Thankfully, he did arrive at the theatre in time for the show, reportedly saying "Let's fucking do this" as he exited the car outside the venue. He might have been drinking a little as his stage banter tonight is very loose in a positive way with many jokes (he once even says the venue smells like a hamburger) and lots of giggles. Additionally, this is Freddie's most daring performance since Leiden and as his voice allows him, he's an absolute power bank today, nailing most songs with lots of power, including rare notes like the verse B4 in 'Another One Bites the Dust' or the "carry OOOON" Bb4 in 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. The rest of the band also sound excited to give their final concert in France on the tour, making for many spectacular performances with no exceptions. This is, by quite a good margin, the best show on the tour in my opinion! On a side note, any professional footage that is claimed to be from this show is actually from Paris earlier on the tour.

Snippets at this show: 'Liar' (before 'Tear It Up') and 'Johnny B. Goode' by Chuck Berry (during 'Now I'm Here').
