Before we get to some of the other videos that I’m in the middle of editing, I wanted to introduce a new series I’m working on called “Unplugged”.

The concept of “Unplugged” is just that - to UNPLUG. I came up with the idea this past weekend on a getaway to Asheville. I’ve been overwhelmed with my daily life and desperately needed to get away to clear my mind. Aside from that, I’ve also been a little overwhelmed with some business obligations I’m taking care of as well as editing videos to share to the channel. This isn’t to say I can’t handle these things, but I just needed a little break 😭

While “vlogging” (in quotes because there’s no dialogue in this lol) during this trip, I managed to edit this quick video and decided that in between content that’s already planned out, if I find myself dragging on sharing or posting, I’ll post an “Unplugged” video instead - to let you guys know that I’m good and I’m just taking a little detour while I continue to get other things squared away ☺️

This was my first time staying in a “dome home” (in the middle of the forest) and I’d happily do it again. No TV, no Wi-Fi - just a bluetooth speaker for music, my kindle and my laptop and hard drive full of movies for me to fall asleep on lol I went to the Biltmore Estate for the second time ever (the first was about 20 years ago) and to Ledges River Park twice to enjoy the scene, sounds and water. This weekend was the recharge I needed.

Lastly, this series isn’t just for me. It’s also to remind whoever is watching and reading my description that we all need a break sometimes. You can’t do anything when you’re dead, so give yourself grace and remember to unplug from whatever it is that you have going on and reset your mind. Trust me, you’ll love yourself more for doing so. Please, take care of yourself!
