In this episode of Design for Mass Production 3D Printing, we unravel the engineering magic behind Dyson's Bladeless Fans and take on the challenge to 3D print our own.

Bladeless Entrainment Fans have a unique ability to move large volumes of air without visible blades. We discuss the aesthetic appeal and safety advantages of these designs, in contrast to traditional rotary fans. However, such a system can be VERY costly to manufacture due to its complexity. But with Mass Production 3D Printing, complex assemblies like this can be consolidated into a single part. This project illustrates the potential for manufacturing aesthetically pleasing, and efficient products using 3D printing technologies, all without the need for costly molds.
