This cute little Carolina Anole came into the lanai the other day, and is now performing a most welcomed service of providing free pest control. Since it’s puffing out its dewlap, it seems almost certain this is a male. I love lizards so much! They’re my third-favorite animal and third spirit animal, after spiders and turtles/tortoises. I really relate to and identify with their symbolism and characteristics, and I frequently encounter them in nature without trying to.
