Don't Fear The Reaper? There is nothing to fear with Blue Oyster Cult. That was not always the case though. The band's reputation has gone from controversial to quirky over several decades. Blue Oyster Cult's origins go deeper than the self-titled album and Tyranny and Mutation. In some respects, the group wanted to set Cities on Flame with Rock and Roll. The band symbol was originally intended to represent a parody of chaos, but what is the Symbol?

Buck Dharma, Eric Bloom, Allen Lanier, and Joe and Albert Bouchard were a motley group assembled for certain musical-sociological reasons. Band manager, Sandy Pearlman, had a lot of ideas for the band and all were rather tongue-and-cheek. The band's disparate material was united under the hook-and-cross. By hook or by crook, the BOC logo has come to represent a certain strand of unique, mythical rock. How deep into the past does the confusion of this Symbol go? The Symbol remains after all.

So let us look at the technology behind the strange matter.
