Melanie Temple, who worked at Belmont Baptist Church, in Calhoun, Georgia, abused her position to gain access to the church’s credit cards, allegedly initiating a three-year scheme alongside her husband Chad Temple. The couple was accused of diverting funds intended for church use towards personal expenses, totaling over $200,000.

An elementary school principal and a school receptionist defrauded their school out of $630,000. Principal Michelle Hollingsworth siphoned cash from Annie Lennard Primary School in the UK. The receptionist Deborah Jones helped Hollingsworth access the funds, which they used to buy things such as a bunch of designer clothes and accessories. Jones also paid her husband’s firm almost $100,000 for fake work at the school.

Before her alleged cartel involvement, Zapata won Miss Indiana 2011. Following the win, she gave an interview to the Journal and Courier, where she spoke about how she wanted to highlight the culture and values of her community.
