Bucktown Store is a significant site in the history of Harriet Tubman. Built in 1835, Bucktown General Store is a country store located in Bucktown, Maryland. It was at this store that Harriet performed what would be called her first act of defiance, when she helped an enslave man from his master, and receive her head injury that resulted in her spiritual visions that defined her for the rest of her life. The store is now a museum and is part of the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Byway and the National Park Service’s Network To Freedom Underground Railroad Trail.
This is one of twelve properties documented in partnership with Preservation Maryland. NCPTT scanned this building using a Faro Focus Laser Scanner to produce this video flythrough of the building's point cloud digital model.
