The introduction of the New DEWALT 8Ah PowerPack battery reminded me of the ‪@TorqueTestChannel‬ review of the DCF860:    • DeWALT's New High Torque Impact Drive...

TTC later surmised that the spring and some bouncing around created some differences in forward and reverse torque, but is that everything? Is there some programming differences in voltage or amp draw that calm what could possibly be more bouncing of the DEWALT DCF860 internals.

Compared to the rest, the voltage testing of the PowerStack 8Ah battery might help us shed some light on that subject if we can find hex adapters that will take this abuse for 10 seconds.

The DEWALT DCF860 performs better in reverse than it does forward, strange for an impact driver. This tool can also be very thirsty for power when it hammers over a period of time. With such a small tool, one would think it would be designed for a smaller battery?

Also, why do some batteries work well in the tool and other batteries make the tool shut down in 7 to 8 seconds of hammering?

Lots of odd behavior in this tool, but the end goal in this video is to compare batteries and allow you to purchase or use the right battery for your scenario.
