Kopi joss, also known as charcoal coffee, is a specialty coffee that originated from Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

Kopi joss is made by placing a hot piece of charcoal into a cup of black coffee. This unusual coffee is the brainchild of Lik Man, a streetside stall owner, who invented the drink in the 1980s.
