God in this lesson speaks through the prophet Amos, to let Israel know that He is not accepting their worship. Israel was looking for the day of the Lord to come, they was hoping God would judge the other nations or even their enemies.

Amos spoke to the House of Israel and told them that The Lord says He hate, and despise their feast days, and will not smell in their solemn assemblies. Problem is, That was their form of worship, of which the Lord no longer accepts. He want His people to do Justice in the land
