Something a little different this time.

In this video Dan has been recorded during a recent talk to the members of the Bristol Bonsai Society (BBS) on the subject of “Finding the Line in bonsai Design”. The content of his talk has been primarily extracted from a section in his second book on bonsai (yet to be published) and concerns itself mostly with aesthetics relating to bonsai which was a treatise on his own personal self-taught approach to bonsai. He has adapted several general aesthetic principals commonly used in conventional ‘art and design’ and formulated his own “Visual Alphabet” in an attempt to make this complex subject interesting and easy to understand.

The presentation comes in two parts due to the subject length. Part two has yet to be edited and will follow fairly soon.
