For me as a filmmaker it’s important to evolve and shape my own style and try out new things. Since I shoot a lot of my work with a gimbal and in slow motion, especially for weddings, I wanted to try something different. I’m personally very obsessed with the filmic or let’s say cinematic look when it comes to camera movement, the art of cinematography and colors of original film stocks like Kodak 2383 e.g. In these short sequences, it’s not about the story as you may recognize ;) It’s more about the storytelling with meaningful and intentional compositions, camera movement and lens choices. There is a lot more to learn and to try and I’m very thankful that my wife helps me out with her acting in all those situations I challenge her with.
