Today I will show you how I make some cajun style butter/ lima beans. I will also show you have I make some rice and cornbread with it too. So many ppl have asked why I stopped doing soul food sunday so much, I'll answer that as well!

Ingredients
~2 cups lima beans dried (big lima beans. if using small adjust cook time)
smoked meat ( i prefer turkey wings or neck, but only had smoked pork. You can also leave it out and extra bacon)
onion
2 ribs celery
bell pepper
garlic
1/2 tsp pepper, garlic powder
1 tsp creole seasoning
1 tsp chicken bouillon
1/2- 1 tsp sugar
water (~6 cups)
butter
4 oz cajun sausage
2 strips bacon
bayleaf
thyme

Cornbread
1 box jiffy
1 large egg ( i used 2 medium)
2-3 tbsp butter + more for the top
1/2 cup sour cream
1/3 cup milk or buttermilk
1 tbsp brown sugar
