Well RIAT 2023 is now very much a part of history - and it was certainly a very challenging one for all concerned, especially those who were there the whole weekend.

Atrocious weather for the most part disrupted many of the flying displays, but there were still some standout performances, and in Part One of this resume I have tried to piece together some of them.

The video includes the now rare appearance of a USAF asset in the shape of a B52H Stratofortress, and he demonstrated his crabbing manoeuver, taking out several of the runway lights in the process!

Also we have the "Best in Show" display by the Saab SK60 - not an aircraft you would usually tip to get such an award but well deserved nonetheless.

The more usual showstoppers are here including the outstanding Dassault Rafale C, the Belgian F16MLU, the Italian AF EF2000Typhoon, and the Finnish F/A18C Hornet with special tail art.

The very rare appearance of the Italian Army Mangusta helicopter is on here, with the MV22 Osprey to add some rotary wing action, along with the more modern Alenia M346 Master trainer.

And not forgetting the much-loved (somewhat vintage now) Tornado and Harrier displays. How we miss those from the UK inventory?

Last but certainly not least is the SkyTanking demos, with the Voyager, A400, and C130s playing a starring role.

The BBMF Lancaster adds some nice noise to the sky to complement the jets too!

The fantastic Fursan Al aerobatic team make a great but brief appearance here - much of my footage of this sensational team went corrupt sadly so for the moment this is all I have. Maybe I can recover it later?

Part Two of this resume I hope to complete within the next two weeks.
