Rory McIlroy plans to reduce his tournament schedule following a packed 2024, in which he will have competed in 27 events by year-end. After a strong performance at The Tour Championship, where he finished ninth with a final-round 66, McIlroy reflected on a grueling season that included wins at the Dubai Desert Classic and Wells Fargo Championship. Feeling exhausted post-US Open, he is considering scaling back to 18-20 events annually instead of his typical 22. He still has five remaining events for the year, including the Alfred Dunhill Links at St Andrews.
