A quick dash down to Hereford station this morning to capture a rare move in the form of 97303 taking over the Chirk to Baglan logs. Approximately 04:00, 56078 working southbound was rescued in the Hereford area by 66792 into the station. This then allowed 97303 to take over for the remainder of the journey to Baglan.

A slight struggle on departure but soon got moving. This was the first instance of a Class 37 on the log trains south of Shrewsbury.

It will be interesting to see whether it brings them back up loaded!
