Well over a year ago I sat down to interview my Dad about some of his songs.

Growing up, these songs were all sort of weirdly famous to my brothers and I, yet outside of the family circle nobody knows they exist. Some of my earliest memories are sitting in his Guitar case, listening to him play. Fast forward to my teenage years and that very guitar was stowed under my bed, and I, like he, began to teach myself - eventually also becoming a drummer.

If there's any truth to musicality being genetic then a heft of whatever it is I do is from my Dad's side. He's retiring soon, so it seemed fitting to do this retrospective of his work, and to try and find out what his songs were all about.

Some of the recordings have suffered in the hands of time, so it is very much presented as is. All music used is written by and mostly recorded by my Dad, and is available at the link below.
