Jim's new build timber-framed house is only a few metres from a mains electricity supply but he has decided to go off-grid.

Jim has chosen to install Varidian solar panels on his roof, have the latest BYD battery in his loft to store the power. Have a generator to help in the darkest winter months and a selection of Victron Energy equipment to run it all.
