Perth Airport is Australia’s fourth busiest airport and serves the state of Western Australia as their main airport. Perth Airport gets some very interesting aircraft that run mining flights. They’re referred to as FIFO charters in which mining companies will charter the planes to transport workers to various mining sites around the state.

Some of the aircraft they use that I filmed and included in this video is the Qantas Fokker 100, Virgin Australia Fokker 100, Virgin Australia Airbus A320. All these aircraft are based in Perth and aren’t seen too commonly at the busy East Coast airports like Melbourne or Sydney.

I filmed this video back in 2018 when Etihad, South African Airlines and Air Mauritius flew ti Perth. I filmed this from the plane spotting deck at Perth Airport, located beside runway 03. I was joined by my good friend Matt from HD Melbourne Aviation on this day which was good fun!
