The many Problems with living off grid or homesteading are many. Here are just a few of the issues I deal with regularly.

Heating the home during the winter months in the Pacific North West can be a challenge. Firewood collection and the purchasing of expensive fuels like propane just to keep the house warm can be daunting

Another problem for many loving off the frid are the road conditions. Every year here is different weather wise but to be sure the roads are always an issue.

Rodents like mice can really make life difficult when it comes to things like food storage. Knowing how to trap them can mean the difference between succes or failure.

Power here has always been a challenge. And even though I wouldn't change back to living in town for all the tea in China, we definitely have our diploma on off grid energy and its challenges.
