And while both Dick Rodgers and Larry Hart were incredibly talented, they could not have been more different. Larry, gregarious, alcoholic, and struggling with his homosexuality. Dick, emotionally reserved, private, and a compulsive womanizer. The tragic dissolution of their partnership would lead to Dick Rodgers finding a new and successful partnership with Oscar Hammerstein. But the circumstances leading up to it are often shrouded in mystery and ambiguity.
