This week I rode long distance coach and I compared it to the Northeast Regional Coach and Business class. In my opinion, it's possibly one of the best cost-for-value experiences you can get on Amtrak.

When traveling between NYC and DC look out for the following trains:
- Palmetto
- Cardinal (Only operates 3 days a week)
- Pennsylvanian (Between NYC and Philadelphia only, also facing backwards)
- Silver Star
- Cresent
- Silver Meteor
