Review Summary:

Edifier have updated their popular X3 model for 2023, bringing the chipset up to date giving you BT5.3 connectivity, and integrating support for their Edifier Connect App. This brings some nice enhanced functionality, such as customisable controls, 'find my buds', the ability to adjust voice prompt volume and 4 EQ presets.

It's a bass-cannon bud with not too much going on in the midbass but a slamming subbass that hits hard. They're IP55 sweat and dust resistant, and give you decent battery performance, whilst easily ranking as the most portable set I've tested for some time.

Call quality isn't the strongest, and they lack some features you might value such as Quick Charge and ANC, but as a low-budget option or a backup set of buds for carrying in your trouser or short pockets, they're another good option in the sub $30 category.
