Game three of the Western Conference Finals is over and the Minnesota Timberwolves have now fallen down 0-3 to Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, and the Dallas Mavericks. It's been a statement series from the Mavs who are now on the cusp of returning to the NBA Finals for the first time in over a decade, likely to play the Boston Celtics who are on the verge of sweeping the Indiana Pacers. Meanwhile, the Timberwolves, who have had such a good year, are now in a tough spot. Anthony Edwards has been disappointing throughout this series although played his best game yet in game three, role players like Naz Reid, Jaden McDaniels, Mike Conley, and Kyle Anderson have stepped up, Rudy Gobert has been great defensively, yet Karl-Anthony Towns after an incredible game seven against the Denver Nuggets, has had his worst playoff series ever. He's failed to impact the game offensively, got benched down the stretch of game two, and questions are once again seemingly popping up about if perhaps the Wolves should consider trading KAT this offseason due to upcoming financial issues with the team and his continuous weak playoff performance. Let's talk about it.
