Circadian House is a unique architectural project by Colin Fournier that harnesses the power of natural light to promote human health and well-being. This small house is illuminated solely by sunlight that enters through eleven skylight "nozzles" at specific locations and times when the two occupants engage in their daily activities.

Inspired by circadian rhythms and daylight research, Circadian House uses light as a "zeitgeber" to synchronize the biological clocks of its inhabitants. The changing light conditions and rhythms of daily activities create a beautiful choreography of successive light events, enhancing the occupants' sense of harmony and well-being.

By aligning with the 24-hour day-night cycle and seasonal changes in daylighting, the Circadian House aims to promote physical health and general well-being. The multiple openings provide a breathtaking view of the surrounding environment and changing positions of the sun while capturing ambient sounds, air movements, and temperature fluctuations. This creates a sensorial awareness of the passage of time and seasons, grounding the occupants in the present moment.
