A first of its kind conference dedicated to creating awareness around gender based violence in the sporting world, and finally #LevelThePlayingField. These are not just lyrics, they are my every day lived experiences transformed into an anthem speaking out for women unable to speak out for themselves.

Beyond the amazing success and riveting stories of triumph on the field and on track, lie tales of horrific gender-based humiliation, exploitation and suffering of young women and men that are muted out of the public eye. The tragic murder of Agnes Tirop, One of Kenya‘s fastest rising star athletes At the peak of her young Korea goes to show clearly that GBV happens to all of us - even the best of us. The lives of influential and impactful Kenyan women lost to GBV like Elizabeth Ibrahim, Esther Mwikali, Caroline Mwatha, Mercy Waithera, Agnes Tirop and many more shall not be forgotten.
