France has entered an era of political deadlock after the national elections resulted in a hung parliament. Marine Le Pen's far right party, the National Rally, finished third. In second position is President Macron's centrist coalition. The surprising leader is the far left coalition, which is winning around 180-190 seats in the 577-member parliament. With no party getting a majority and because of the fundamental differences between the three major coalitions, France seems to be entering an era of political chaos and gridlock even as the Paris Olympics is all set to start.
