This video is about trekking the Tamang Heritage Trail in Nepal and is meant to be a trek report and guide for anyone interested in hiking this beautiful trail beneath Ganesh Himal. It's the first part of a 4 part series about our hike from the Tibetan Border through the Langtang National Park all the way back to Kathmandu: Langtang & Beyond.

In November 2018 we set off to hike from the valleys of the Tamang people in the very north of Nepal near the Tibetan border through the Himalalya all the way to Kathmandu.
We start our trek in Syabru Besi and explore the area between Ganesh Himal and the banks of the Bote Koshi river, before we start climbing up the famous Langtang valley.

Our first stage brings us to Gatlang, the second one via Chilime to Tatopani. We then hike to Nagthali and climb to Taruche veiwpoint, where we enjoy great views towards Ganesh Himal, Langtang Himal and far into Tibet.
On day 4 we make our way to Thuman from where we continue on to cross the Bote Koshi and trek to Bridim to end our Tamang Heritage Trail in Khangjim after 5 lovely days of hiking.
