This is Another Place, a marimba quartet (on shared 5 octave instruments) with bass drum, suspended cymbal, and wind chimes shared between players. This work is influenced by some of the most highly regarded literature in the mallet quartet repertory: Steve Reich's Mallet Quartet, Omphalo Centric Lecture by Nigel Westlake, and Gemma Peacocke's Death Wish.
This has won the 2022 Rocky Mountain Music Competition Audience Award in as well as Second Place overall (Toronto, Canada).
