Cobh is a very interesting town downstream from the city of Cork. There is so much water on the route to Cobh, that the line has to run across the lough using not one but two causeways. Cobh is also steeped in the history of Irish mass emigration from poverty and oppression and the forced transportation of thousands of Irish to the British colonies.
