We crossed the border into Laos at Huay Xai and traveled north to Luang Namtha before heading down to Luang Prabang. Northern Laos is extremely mountainous and the cycling in this part of the country was quite challenging. But every day we were enthusiastically greeted by countless children as we rode through rural villages, and bicycle touring in Laos was truly an unforgettable experience.
