Darren Findling of The Probate Pro going over the Petitioners Filing Cover Sheet for the Wayne County Probate Court. This is a very specific document used for filing at the Wayne County Probate Court it's the cover sheet that is required with all filings remember the probate court has been closed for in-person filings so this particular document is used for the electronic filing and it is the face sheet or cover sheet for all filings followed with the probate court you can see there's a form number in the bottom left corner WCPC, which stands for Wayne County Probate Court. It's form 99 it was issued in July of 2022 really right around the pandemic ending but it is still the required documents for filing at the Probate Court pretty simple you print out the form you either type it or handwrite the information in there you have to identify when you're filing whether there is an emergency or whether you're going to be asking for an additional letter of authority it's really just a basic bit of information so that the court doesn't get inundated with filings and not know who to respond to with the filings the beginning part is pretty straightforward the contact information the person that is actually doing the filing your phone number your email address most Communications with the court will occur through an email and then if there's an attorney involved the attorney's p number a professional number the bottom section also pretty self-explanatory you identify the primary document in this case I use petition for probate and then the accompanying documents these are the testimony acceptance the mc97 and mc97a form these forms if you're unsure how to complete them you can use our links and our websites to get access to the free forms as well as videos explaining how to complete those forms additional information below whether you're seeking a letter of authority whether there's an emergency hearing request and that it complies with the relevant Court role for the requirement for an emergency hearing whether you're refiling documents and any further information you want the court to know this document gets filed with the other pleadings and then after you file the documents of course the court will send you a notice of any relevant filing fee of which you can pay electronically and then of course if there's going to be a hearing you'll get a notice of the hearing sent from the court or if there's no hearing required then maybe the issuance of the letters of Authority or whatever the particular circumstances may be again this is the cover sheet for the Wayne County Probate Court only not to be used in other courts if you have questions about appropriate related issues of course you can reach out to the probate Pro or a competent probate lawyer to assist you in the filing of all things probate
