Shipping is expensive, especially large heavy packages such as cornhole boards.

In this video I outline setting up an account with FedEx to greatly reduce shipping rates, and then packaging your boards to protect them and keep rates as low as possible with efficient boxing.

Making your own boxes can get time consuming, so I also show how paying more for a perfect box can save more time than it costs money.

I want to stress that if you ship more than one or two sets, that you please stop using the Home Depot box method. It is extremely time consuming, and requires almost an entire roll of tape. The box option from amazon is significantly faster (30 minutes + saved) for about $6 more per box.

Custom boxes are the way to go if you ship more frequently, and you’d be surprised to see what’s available to you locally. Unfortunately for me, my custom box options near by have high minimums, however I’ve seen other builders in more rural areas have boxes made at as little as $5/box, and not have to get a ton at a time.

These ideas, primarily shipping with an account is a principle for shipping in general, never ship without an account. Good luck!
