In this video, I tune the carburetors on the weiand supercharger, or attempt to, anyway.

The carburetor I had on the engine before the blower, I have come to find out, is a 500 CFM carb. That wouldn't do with the 650 on the front. So I bought another AVS2 for the rear of the roots blower.

Both carbs come stock with:
6" Hg step up springs (orange)
0.101 primary jets
0.098 secondary jets
and 0.070 x 0.037 metering rods

I had a really tough time tuning out the lean condition just off idle and cruise. I went with the heaviest step-up spring I could, which was 8" I kind of wish they had 10" springs. That was the biggest positive change in the car was swapping those springs.

I also put 0.101 jets in the secondaries which brought the AFR down to about 12/1 at wide open throttle. I'm seriously considering putting 0.073 x 0.037 metering rods with 0.104 jets in the primary. I will probably try that after I drive the car around a bit more and see how it does.

The floats were about 10-20% off from the factory, which is within reason. It's pretty difficult to get them perfect. I can't imagine being the guy who just sets floats all day at the Edelbrock factory!

All in all, I had fun tuning the carbs. Still have a lot to learn.

Thank you so much for watching!
