This story is told by a middle aged man, who'd been married to his wife for 29 years. He thought his marriage was solid as they seemed very happy and had 2 wonderful children and 3 grandchildren together. Then one day he comes home and she tells him she'd been having an affair with another man and she was in love with him. To make matters worse, she presents him with divorce papers right there, then runs off that same night with her AP. As you can imagine, the OP is crushed by this and it takes a great toll on his mental and physical health. Eventually he pulls himself together and gets his life back on track and when he does, his ex-wife shows up after she and her lover spent all her divorce proceeds, then he left her.
