The BMW 6 Series GT recently received a global facelift, alongside the BMW 5 Series. BMW India has chosen to launch the updated 6GT first with the car now being introduced with an updated variant range too.

Available with one petrol and two diesel engine options, the 6GT is a more practical take on traditional mid-sized luxury sedans. It is BMW’s alternative to cars like the Audi A7 and Mercedes-Benz CLS but rather than being form focused like these 4 door coupes, the 6GT has been designed to offer improved comfort and better practicality than its sedan counterpart.

However, the 6GT is also an unusual choice, especially because of its design. It’s one of the reasons why, even though it’s a price rival to the E-Class long wheelbase in India, it hasn’t found nearly as much popularity.
