Enjoy the sights and sounds of this once peaceful village turned one-time industrial heart of the city. It is an interesting area with diverse shops restaurants and small businesses, along with a mix of old and new architecture. Located outside of the old city walls and to the west of Edinburgh Castle, this area was part of the agricultural estate of Dalry House. I enjoyed this stroll on an unexpectedly sunny day, and as a bonus I met a cat!! That's what I call winning :-)
