I started this project back in 2016-2017 while going to school for video and have worked on it off and on for years. This project (both when I was in school and today) has been about challenging myself by trying to tackle what I'm least comfortable with doing in AE. (Mostly learning expressions and working with particles and layers in 3D space) Because of this, a video that should have taken only a few hours to make ended up taking well over a hundred. About six months ago I decided that I was going to finish it no matter what.
I reached out to Alecks and he was kind enough to give me a copy of the lyrics to the song for use in the video. It's still not perfect, but I've gotten it to a place where I can make my peace with it and upload it. I'd like to continue making lyric videos for Tanuki's music if ever I have an idea that I think would strike well visually. This project was much too simple, and I'd like to make something a bit more visually interesting next time.
