8-22-2023 I wanted to completely drain the tank . You can't - EASILY . At the fuel filter exit point on the tank . "There is a depression that will HOLD about 1 to .5 oz of fuel .
I pulled the right side cover . Pulled the lines to the valve shut off . I got a little bit of fuel out . Couple table spoons . ALSO NOTE . The line from the tank to the shut off valve has a low spot . So even if you run the carb dry there maybe be some fuel in the line . The lines come off not easy but not hard either . They are accessible . I then went to the left side pulled outer panel . To get to the line you have to pull / drop the fume filter for the tank. Not hard - 2 bolts . I tried to take off the fuel line from the barbed end was not easy - I left it ... there is a nut there on the barb. i assume that if for replacing the line filter in the tank . I did not pull that nut don't know if gasket or O -Rung might be need to replace .
Here is the other bad news . The tank is pressed with a depression in the bottom at that filter.
even if you run the gen. to empty and it quits . There is is still about 1 - .5 oz in the bottom . This could varnish on you . I was able to get to that fuel with a long screwdriver and a rag . You can get it all . Save a Couple drops .
Strongly suggest you do this or make sure you have fuel stabilizer or keep tank with moderate amount of gas and or drain from carb from time to time to keep fuel fresh in line to shut off valve.

So the quick dirty to drain it completely. Pull left and maybe right side covers . Pull line from tank to shut off valve . Then put rag into tank - sop up the oz. of gas in depression or loosen nut and pull tank fuel filter .
Bad news I was disappointed .
