About 10 km from Tiruppathur, the Attaru river in Elagiramalai falls as a waterfall from a height of 15 meters at Sadayanur. It is believed that bathing in the waterfall cures diseases as the river flows through various types of herbal plants found on the mountain. Near the falls is the Murugan temple.
