Day 1 of going alone into The Himalayas as we venture off higher into the mountains on the Langtang trail. From here on in no cars go and it's a few days hike up to 4000 meters. Walking by the river we soon encounter a family living in part in brick housing but also still in the traditional Nepali tent. There a Nepali woman invites me to eat with her family. They are kind enough to let me enjoy some of their fresh food and raksi desi daru, the local alcoholic drink of choice. Tamu guru helps me with the ceremony where I pray for blessings on my mountain journey. After experiencing Himalayan village life and saying goodbye to the goat I continue on my hike.
