The MotoGP Dutch GP saw Marc Márquez perform below par. Eight-time world champion finished only eighth in the main race at Assen after suffering two crashes, one of which forced him to quit from the Sprint race.

The Spaniard did, in fact, finish in fourth position, not far from the podium, but he lost 16 seconds for going above the minimum tire pressure limitations. He believed that this was made worse by an altercation he had with Ducati's Enea Bastianini when competing against the Italian.
