This is unusual for my channel as I usually do gardening and permaculture content but it is a "hillside" project nonetheless. Not a "how-to" guide, but a video log of how I built a timber-framed pavilion on our hillside to make better use of our sloped lawn area and provide a nice place to sit in summer. I had no experience of concrete work, rebar, timber framing or any of that, but like I always say, I am one of those people who watches a few YouTube videos (actually a LOT) and thinks, "I can do that". And do you know, I did!

Part 2 will be coming soon after this one and in the meantime I welcome any questions or observations in the comments as I am sure people will have many! Just remember, it's too late to change anything now, it's all built!
