In this video Pete will answer a question that comes up with multi-body part / assembly modeling: where should one model the part features? He'll argue that the most effective method is to place the features at the individual part level (not the multi-body part level) while still referencing the relevant information from the top level design driver. Please note that this technique can be used to drive multiple parts from the same top level design element (i.e. match drilling holes in different parts from the same design sketch).
