This project consisted of rebuilding an existing pond and keeping the same overall footprint.

Why did we rebuild this pond? It was in desperate need of a proper filtration system - a sand filter is no match for an Aquascape BioFalls filter... The water clarity was terrible... green pea soup water.

The pond has 2 levels - the upper pond is at least 25' x 16' and the lower pond is 10' x 12'.

We removed their old sand filtration system and we added a large Aquascape 6000 BioFalls biological filtration system hidden under the waterfalls in the upper pond. We also added a skimmer filtration system in the lower pond so that all debris can be mechanically filtered in addition to being biologically filtered.

The homeowner experienced a "green phase" in the beginning, but we ensured him that with patience, it would stabilize and balance out. And within 3 weeks of adding beneficial bacteria with our automatic dosing system, the pond was CLEAR! Take a look!

We build koi ponds and waterfalls throughout Los Angeles county. We have a showroom and supply store in Sun Valley, California.
