This is the all new Mercedes AMG GLC63S E Performance. Sadly, the old 4.0L Twin Turbo V8 from the old GLC63S has been wiped out completely, being replaced with the new E Performance technology, giving it not as much sound, but way more power. This is also the first Mercedes SUV to receive the new E Performance hybrid technology.

First, since this is an all new sports SUV, we should talk about the power and drivetrain. The new GLC63 E Performance will have the same power and torque specifications as the C63S E Performance sedan, at 671 hp, and an estimated 800 lb-ft of torque, which comes from a 2.0L turbo 4 cylinder hybrid. There are also two electric motors, one on each side, making this all-wheel-drive (AWD).

Next, let’s talk a little bit about the interior. The optional AMG Performance seats are too firmly padded to be truly comfortable. At least they're not overly confining, although the outer bolsters can be adjusted for a tighter squeeze. The interior is otherwise little changed from the standard GLC and has the same pros and cons as most current MB products. Pros: a sleek waterfall dash that swoops down to the center console, great-looking digital displays, and a central screen that minimizes menu diving. Cons: a total lack of physical switchgear, idiotic touch sliders, and annoying steering-wheel touchpads. Outside, the GLC63 gets the AMG vertical-bar grille and an AMG-specific lower fascia, side sills, and rear diffuser with quad exhaust outlets.

Pricing hasn’t been revealed yet, but we can expect the new GLC63S to start at around $100,000 CAD ($74,000 USD) considering the previous generation model started at around $80,000 to $90,000 CAD. To get this car, you would have to wait until around mid 2024 to mid 2025.
