Candyfolk Space-Drum - Alex Paxton

"This is a piece of music I have written so that it can be played to an audience by notation-reader-like-musician-soloists who like it, improvising musicians who like it, a drummer who likes it, electricitysounds and some children who like it also. Candyfolk Space-Drum was commissioned by London Sinfonietta as part of its Writing the Future scheme. The film was recorded at the Southbank Centre on 31 March 2022 and features the London Sinfonietta alongside Alex himself on trombone, Martin France on drums, conductor Tim Anderson and a children's chorus from The Belham Primary School, Southwark, conducted by Aga Serugo-Lugo.
