This collection was featured as a part of Fashion@Brown's 11th annual (virtual) runway show. I'll start with some context. I've been working a lot with the concept of memory - its processes, reiteration, how we digest it, feel about it, understand it, and how it affects us in the present. A lot of my work has touched upon childhood, trauma, and grief. This collection is stemming from this conceptual space that I've been working in, specifically exploring further the ideas of womanhood and the role of interior spaces within memory. In A HOUSE IS NOT A HOME, I wanted to explore the emotional experience of feeling neither good nor bad, but the liminal experience of being in between.
