Make a scarf with tassels or fringes in this sewing tutorial. It's easy using basic beginner sewing machine skills and very few tools. The dimensions of this simple scarf are not critical. So long as the fabric is fairly soft and loosely woven, the choice is not critical.

The length of the fabric (and hence the resulting scarf) shown in the video is 2½ yards. It can be any desired length. Typically fabric comes in 44" or 45" widths. Here it is split down the middle, thus giving enough material to make two scarves if desired.
