#History of #Pajajaran cannot be separated from the big name of #Siliwangi. Jayadewata, known as Siliwangi, succeeded in uniting Sunda and Galuh by marrying the daughter of the king of Sunda, Prabu Susuktunggal, namely Kentringmanik Mayangsunda. Siliwangi accepted the Sunda throne and became king in Galuh, which was based in Kawali and Sunda, based in Pakuan. Siliwangi made Pakuan the center of his government which later became known as Pakuan Pajajaran. During his reign, Pajajaran was safe and prosperous. However, the signs of the destruction of his kingdom had begun at the end of his age. Cirebon was under the rule of Syarif Hidayatullah or Sunan Gunungjati, who was his grandson, the son of Nyimas Rarasantang. Siliwangi failed to attack Cirebon and then chose to resign and handed over the throne of Pajajaran to Surawisesa. The war after war between the Cirebon and Demak coalition against Surawisesa who had asked Portusi for help lasted quite a long time. During his reign, Surawisesa faced 15 wars and lost half of his territory, namely Galuh Kawali. Finally, Surawisesa entered into a peace agreement with Syarif Hidayatullah after losing Sundakelapa.
